What shop do you work at?

Pars Fortuna

5247 US-25 #70, Marshall, NC 28753

How can I make an appointment?

Please fill out a booking request form in the contact section of my website. Once I have accepted your proposal I will send you a link to my booking site where you can book an appointment and leave a deposit.

What is the purpose of the deposit?

The deposit is to ensure that you don’t “no show”, cancel or back out last minute. Time is very valuable. If someone no call, no show’s or backs out last minute I will keep the deposit to compensate for time lost. I usually book a few months in advance and the deposit safe-guards me from a total loss should someone flake last-minute. Deposits are non-refundable. To reschedule, you may do so by emailing me or preferably you can do it through the square confirmation email or text. Please give at least 48-hours notice of your reschedule/cancellation to transfer the deposit to a new appointment date. Your deposit is good for one year. If you need to reschedule after that you will have to leave another deposit. If you reschedule more than 3 times you will be required to re book with another deposit.

Do I have to leave a deposit before I see the design?

Yes. You must leave a deposit to secure an appointment.  Many hours can go into the conceptualizing and designing of a tattoo and emailing/scheduling. If for any reason you cannot get the tattoo or decide to back out, the deposit pays for time spent on the process.

When will I be able to see the design?

I will have a drawing ready for you the day of the appointment or I will draw it at the appointment depending on the tattoo.

What if I don’t like the design?

If you would like to make changes to the design, I will work with you as much as I can. If there are significant changes to be made and I feel like I need more time to work on the design, we may need to reschedule. It is important not to rush or settle for something mediocre. If we can't agree on a design you don't have to get the tattoo. However, I will keep the deposit to compensate for the time spent drawing and the time slot in my schedule.

Will the design be fully shaded/colored?

No. I simply do not have time/energy to do this for every person I tattoo. I might sometimes shade a small portion of the drawing if I feel that it is important for you to see. The purpose of a portfolio is so that you know what you are getting into and what I am capable of tattooing . Please familiarize yourself with my portfolio and decide if my style of tattooing suits your tattoo needs before contacting me.

Can I get a free touch up?

Yes! You can get a free touch up as long as it is within a year of getting it. And as long as I did your tattoo.

Do you do every tattoo that you are approached with?

No, I keep a very full schedule and have a ton of tattoo requests. I only take on tattoos that are in alignment with my current priorities.

I do not do:

  • lettering

  • color tattoos

  • copies of other peoples tattoos

  • photo realism

  • tattoos that are generally not along the lines of my style

  • sacred geometry/abstract tattoos

  • tattoos with complicated and busy compositions

If your tattoo idea doesn't fit with the criteria please do not be offended. I can't take on every tattoo. It does not mean that I do not like your tattoo idea, It usually just means that I feel like another person can do a better job with it.

How much do you charge?

My minimum at this time is $400. (However this doesn’t count for flash) I charge based on your budget and the time slot you book. For a 3 hr or less slot it will range $400-800. For a half day slot $600-$1000 and a full day session is $800-$1800. So please let me know if you have a budget you’d like to stick to within those ranges and I will draw/tattoo the piece according to that.  If you do not have a budget please bring the maximum amount of that range. Please let me know if you have a budget you are working with before I design the tattoo.

 Are you cash only?

Yes. For the time being I am cash only. Please be prepared and bring cash to your appointment.

How long will my tattoo take?

Time depends on a lot of things such as size, detail, location, how receptive your skin is to ink, how many breaks we take, and how well you sit for your tattoo. I will usually be able to give you a ball park estimate of how long the tattoo will take. However, it is subject to change if you decide to go bigger/smaller or change the design or can't sit still. All that being said I do tattoo super quickly for the most part.

Can I bring a friend?

You can bring one friend for support. Please DO NOT bring an entourage. The shop is very small with limited space.

May I bring my child?

Please don’t. No exceptions to this rule. No one under the age of 18 is allowed in the tattoo room.

What if I am running late?

If you are running late please call/text the shop at (828) 649-5026 to give me a heads up. If you are more than 30 minutes late we will probably have to reschedule you . If I haven't heard from you I will assume you are not showing up.  If you would like to reschedule I will need another deposit to book another appointment.  Please remember that no call/no shows are taken very seriously and you may be declined future services.

Will it hurt?

 Yes.

There are things that you should consider before your session to help with pain.

  • Make sure you do not drink a lot of alcohol the night before. If you come in hungover your body has way less tolerance for pain and you will get tired quickly.

  • Get a good nights rest.

  • Eat a meal with plenty of protein an hour or two before your session.

  • If you are sitting for more than 2 hours It is a good idea to bring some kind of protein bar or snack and drink with electrolytes/water to re-fuel yourself mid tattoo. For some reason a sugary drink like soda always helps if you need a second wind.

  • Wear clothing you will be comfortable in.

What if I tap out?

If you cannot sit any longer it is completely okay to do your tattoo in multiple sessions. Sometimes more than one will be required to complete your tattoo. I usually do not tattoo for more that 4 hours a session.

Should I tip?

Yes! We love tips. As far as tipping suggestions go, its the same as any service industry. 15-35% is standard.

Do you do guest spots/travel?

I post my travel dates/spots on my newsletter and social media sites such as Instagram.
